a5c7b9f00b 2 overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold hypnotize their principal into thinking he's a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants. George and Harold are two imaginative pranksters who make the depressing Jerome Horwitz School a better place. They hypnotize their nemesis, the mean-spirited principal Mr. Krupp. He transforms into the incredibly clueless yet kind-hearted and enthusiastic superhero named Captain Underpants. Even without the mean principal, they discover that having Captain Underpants comes at a steep price. Meanwhile, Professor Poopypants tries to eliminate laughter with the school snitch Melvin, and George and Harold discover that there may be more to Mr. Krupp than they had originally thought. I am completely disappointed in the animation. Save your money and don't bother seeing this. Could have been very good but they fell completely flat. Also what is with casting 40 year old men to do children's voices. Couldn't find any 8 year old boys to do the voices? Maybe could have saved some money paying Kevin Hart and spent money on animation. The best movie of the summer finally stretches to Blue-Ray tomorrow anda part-time film critic, I strongly advise families of all kinds to see this movie in any way shape or form. Based on the acclaimed books by Dav Pilkey, it tells the story of two boys, George Beard and Harold Hutchins, and the misadventures they have in using civil disobedience to fight back against their cruel and inhumane principal Benny Krupp. At one point, they hypnotize him into thinking he's the superhero knownCaptain Underpants. Of course, the joke backfires when he actually thinks he is that same character from the comics. What follows is comedic gold of all kinds from pratfalls to misunderstandings and a beautiful sense of comic timing that can only be equally seen in films suchBringing Up Baby or His Girl Friday. It will not drive a wedgie into anyone who wants to see a fun animated motion picture. It’s hard to say the name "Captain Underpants” without smiling, and the big-screen debut of the skivvies-clad superhero (the film’s subtitle is “The First Epic Movie”) maintains that same goofy, innocently naughty nature for nearly its entire running time.
